Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School will be based on LIGHT this year. Matthew 15:6 says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” There are lots of ways that LIGHT is portrayed in the Bible, but this summer we will look at who created light, where to follow the light, and when to be the light! It is our intention to strengthen each child’s faith through experiencing different kinds of LIGHT, playing with LIGHT, and listening to stories about LIGHT in the Bible! The celebration the last night will take place at the bowling alley! You can register online at or go to our facebook page for updated information!

Bring your supplies to have a day dedicated to getting some projects done. This is a no-cooking day so we will plan to go out for lunch or order in.

Mark your calendars:

VBS will run June 26-30 from 5:45-8:00!

During Vacation Bible School we will get a little groovy as we continue to think about the peace that God offers through the death and resurrection of Jesus. The entire reason we can have peace is because Jesus overcame death and rose again in victory! During VBS we will look at the various resurrection appearances of Jesus out of the book of John. The celebration the last night will take place at the Spring Lake outdoor skating rink! Be there or be square!

Summer Sunday Club starts June 5th at 9:00 a.m.

Youth-in-Training who will create and implement the summer ministry at First Presbyterian Church include: Mitchell Gorsuch, Lakota Larson, and Ethan Woodruff as well as volunteers Laura Tellinghuisen and Kayla Youngblood. They have come up with some fantastic ideas for this summer as we will focus on peace using Colossians 3: 15 as our main verse, which says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.” During Summer Sunday Club, we will explore various Bible stories the exemplify peace. Stories include Jesus calms the storm, Jesus comforts the disciples, Psalm 23, and Abram makes peace with Lot. See ya on the flip side!
